Christmas Gift Guide

The wonderful people at made it have started a fabulous Christmas gift guide blog with different goodies on show each day. They also let the sellers have a turn at picking their favourites in a catergory of choice. Yesterday it was my turn - I picked my five favourite handmade handbags because lets face it one is never enough. You can see them here. Follow their blog for a daily post of handmade goodness up until Christmas.

I have been working on some OOAK headbands for the upcoming Apex Kids Stuff Market - They turned out quite nice and lots of fun to make. They will be in my made it shop soon enough if they don't sell though.

Bottles of beads & sequins
This Halloween I have decided to go for a baroque-style theme of black, white, silver and hot pink. With lots of silvery skulls!

For inspiration, I started off by filling my Curio Cabinet with bottles of beads, sequins and trims in my colour theme. As time went on I continued to add elements of my Halloween theme like the small silver skull charms, candles and stamp.

Vintage poison stamp
I picked up the poison stamp at Portobello Market and the skull tealights at Poundland (such a bargain at 6 for £1). I was thinking of getting some ink pads in black, pink and silver so I can print the poison label onto candy bags and tags etc.

~ Almost there ~

Here is the house as of last Friday afternoon - top soil down and level and ready for plants and grass!! What a difference a week will make as all this happens.

We did have a humdinger of a storm here Friday evening and half the soil washed down the street so we hope everything turns out ok once the grass is down.

Very exciting - in less than two weeks we will be living there.

Stay tuned for further updates.
