Chalk Clipboard

At the market over the weekend, I couldn't resist a little clipboard/ chalkboard that was just $6, including a packet of chalk!

I've hung it near the front doorway, where I thought my husband and I could write messages to one another on our way out the door. Yes, its kitch, but I like kitch! I also hung my 'home is where the heart is' artwork I posted about here ages ago. I have lots of prints lying around until I work out where to put them; and even more holes in the wall from constantly moving them around or stuffing up in their placement! I pity whoever buys my house from us eventually... I will have to leave them a courtesy patch kit... or 10!

~ Candles ~

Well I am slowly coming out the other side but there still is soooo much to do! Every box that was inside the house is unpacked - that just leaves the lovely stack of boxes in the garage which I don't really want to look at! They were all packed 2 years ago and it is obvious that I don't need what is in them - not quite sure when I will get to them but boy it will be lovely when we can get two cars in the garage.

The interesting thing I have found out while unpacking is that I used to love candles - not that I don't now but boy do I have a lot of candles - all shapes and sizes and all types of candle holders. Not something I drag out that often any more with the kids around but maybe in the future they will get used ... ahh to relax with some candlelight ... that sounds like heaven.

Here's a house

for little people - that needed some re-decorating - I was going to use paper as wall paper but thought fabric would last longer & since I can't go past all the delicious fabric from Kelani there was no better place to start. I chose fabrics that reminded me of my Granny's bathroom tiles, the tea cups were a must for the kitchen & the rest complimented each other. I hope my girls have as much fun playing with their 'revamped' dolls house as I had decorating it.
