friendship and flowers...

This week I got to catch up with two of my closest friends. One is in the middle of a 10-month work secondment based in Paris (lucky duck) while other is in the middle of that feeding, burping and nappy changing routine ever present in the early months of parenthood. Goes without saying that it was wonderful to see them both, along with the beautiful new bub...even though I forgot the camera ...twice :)

Hope you all have a great weekend and get to share it with the people you love.

It's Friday

Hello Everyone - I hope you have had a great week.  School holidays here and I have been hit with a nasty flu for most of the week - not great timing!

On a bright note however the Autumn weather we are having this week here in Sydney is nothing short of spectacular.  Being my birthday month it also means my local florist sent me some great birthday vouchers so I headed in for a pick me up - flowers in the house always brighten me up.

The crystal clear skies also meant we could see the ships on their way out of Sydney Harbour from our bedroom balcony - such a gorgeous city to live in.

Exciting news also on the Circle of Moms Top 25 Party Plannin Moms front - I made it in to top 25 which I am thrilled with - thank you to everyone who voted for me - your support was amazing.  The final 25 will be featured on a new mom resource The Roundup and all the blogs will be showcased here over the coming weeks.

I am still taking orders for stamps (if you would like to know more about the stamps check here) - if you get your order in this weekend they will be out to you next week.

Have a lovely weekend everyone and I will see you all next week.

A few nice days

Temperatures have been up and down; warm and sunny then cold and rainy, seemingly every other day. So I'm really trying to enjoy the nicer days. On Monday my nephews had soccer practice, they are on a peewee team! They don't actually have games since they're only three and four year old but they are learning some basics and having a great time.  I've been waiting for days like this since they were babies.  I can not wait for some flag football too! I brought my camera with full intentions of getting a bunch of photos but realized when I got there I left my memory card at home. My sister took this photo of me, hubby, and the boys!

Afterwards we stopped for Rita's ice cream... of course...and I tried their new peanut butter chocolate ice (with chocolate custard!)...delish!

Today was another nice day. Though most of it I spent inside at work I did manage to venture out for a little bit afterwards with Roxy. I gave her a bath then let her sun dry on a long walk.

I'm looking forward to more sunshine filled days like these!!

One of the prettiest Easter boutiques at The Country Living Spring Fair was Deck-The-Halls.

Deck-The-Halls was started by Paula on the kitchen table 10 years ago. In her words: "It was a weird start as my father died unexpectedly on Christmas day, only 6 weeks after my son was born so we did not really celebrate Christmas and I found it hard to put it away that year. I started making Christmas decorations and friends were asking me for them. I decided to see if they were just being nice by taking them to local shops, who then placed orders. I started exhibiting at Country Living Christmas 2005 where we won the editor's choice for the best stand and the rest is history!"

Paula now works full time on designing and making the collection with her husband and sells to shops including Liberty’s.

Have a sweet day!
