A warm day in March

We have had beautiful weather lately in Maryland. Hubby and I took a day to walk around the National Harbor, shop around, and eat at Potbelly's. Basically I just wanted to get out and enjoy this exceptional weather.

I will get around to vacation pics soon!! :)
Three sessions this weekend though... so I will be a little busy!

6 Months- 1/2 a Year Old!

1FB
  • You are 16lbs 4oz and 26in. 50th percentile for both.
  • Size 3 diapers, 6 months clothes.
  • You are beginning to sit up, and sometimes will for a few minutes (like on a bed) but then you topple over. You prefer to sit up and play now so mommy & daddy need to buy some new toys!
  • You drop your toys on the floor (purposefully) and then look down for them.
  • Everything in sight you assume is yours to mangle and/or eat.
  • You are quite the talker now. You say "blah blah" (just babbling) "na na na" (means you're hungry) "nigh nigh" (means you're tired) and "da da" (Daddy thinks it's for him... we will pretend, but we all know you're gonna say momma first ;)
  • Still have yet to roll from back to belly, but close!DSC_1130-2FBThis method of monthly pictures no longer works. You are too big and you grab the blanket :)
  • You now have TWO teeth! Your first one appeared on Daddy's birthday 2/28, and the second one popped through while on vacation, super fast. I have a picture of you on the second day with barely one tooth- by the end of the week I could clearly see two chompers! And geesh do you drool like c.r.a.z.y. DSC_1144-2FB
  • Mommy put you in your crib for the first time on 3/11. No more bassinet, you outgrew that thing. You did pretty well. But you're still waking up 2-3 times a night to eat, again. Every once in awhile we have a 'good' night which means at least a 6-7 hour stretch. Bedtime is at 8pm, wake up time is 7:30-8am. Doctor said to start sleep training. Which means for a little while we will only do an ounce of formula or just water when you wake up and soothe you back to sleep. Fingers crossed you get used to not eating at night soon. I have a feeling it's going to be a long few days though!DSC_1115B
  • You are still a big cat napper and take usually three to four 35 minute naps a day... though it varies. You will now nap in your play yard or crib which is a big improvement since you used to have to be in your swing or vibrating chair.2FB
  • You eat 4ounces every few hours. You love just about any food and have one meal a day around dinner time- carrots, bananas, squash, apples, pears, peas, you name it, you've probably tried it already. I will either make it fresh for you or just give you a jar. My goal is to at least make 2-3 meals a week though.
  • You did really well in Mexico. Most of the time you slept by the pool in your stroller! You're such an awesome 'on the go' baby, I know you loved taking in all of your surroundings!
  • Speaking of, you also did great on your first flight! You received so many comments from others about how good you were. You slept most of the time on the way down. I was paranoid you'd scream especially since you were sick but you passed right out in my arms as soon as we took off!3FB
Happy 6 months sweetness. Mommy loves you more and more everyday, if that's possible.

Sitting

I'm just sitting outside
with the breeze singing by
and thinking
there is much to come.
