Purple and White Candy Table - A Magical Wedding

On Sunday I had the pleasure of styling a Candy Table for my eldest daughter Sienna's teacher.  The theme for the wedding was purple and white which was such a stunning combination.  The selection of candy in these colours is great so here is a look at how things turned out on what was a magical day for the bride and groom as well as her beautiful kindy class and the proud mums and dads that watched on.

The amazing array of candy included Gumballs, Cool Mints, Jelly Belly, Cloud Marshmallows, Bon Petite, Lollipops, Milk Bottles, Heart Shaped Chocolates, White Chocolate covered Rasperries, Mini Chocolate Bars and Acid Fruit Drops.

The table also included little bags for each of the guests to use to take their sweets home in as well as a wishing jar for friends and family to pop a note to the bride and groom in.

Large Round Balloons are from Love to Celebrate

And a few of the stunning bride and groom with the magical backdrop of the Sydney Harbour Bridge on a picture perfect afternoon
The very excited kids from Anna's class lined the aisle as she walked in and as the bride and groom left they threw petals from their little white baskets - so special!

Followed of course by a petal fight!

It was such an honor to be part of Anna and Chris' special day.
Congratulations to the beautiful couple - here is to a long and happy life together.

How can this be my favourite song of all time?

I don't know why. I don't even know how. Of all the wonderful, dreamy, clever and moving songs in the world.  Of all the memory-inducing, good-times/ bad-times, living it like it is songs.

Of all the amazing songs in the world, this is the fave.

It doesn't even have special memory attached. I just heard it years and years ago, I liked it, I played it, I danced to it, it never went away.

Are you also somewhat embarrased by your favourite song? Just me, huh?

Bitten by a Mozi!

I'm all for supporting Australian designers, and when it comes to online shopping there is one site that never lets me down when the decorating bug decides to bite! I'm talking about Mozi - the brainchild of two Melbourne sisters whose range of tea towels, aprons, soaps, stationery and other goodies have long taken my fancy! The bold designs and fuchsia, turquoise, and yellow palette of colours are right up my decorating alley! But would you consider my personal Mozi loot of no less than 3 wall prints, 2 cushions, 2 candles, 2 tea-towels, an apron, and a bar of soap a slight obsession?!? hmmm.

Anyway, here are a few of my picks for the new season - this tea towel in particular is hard to resist:
$19.95

$34.95
$24.50
$14.95
$24.95
$249.95
It's kind of a shame Mozi doesn't do a children's range... little oven mitts and aprons would be so sweet in a little girl's play kitchen! Anyway, who are some of YOUR favy Aussie home designers that accent your personal style?
