One of my girlfriends had a little baby boy this week, and I decided it was high time I (literally) brushed the dust off my sewing machine and set to work on a handcrafted gift for little Angus. I love making softies (see my previous attempts
here and
here), so I decided to make a quirky little giraffe from
Softies.
As usual, there's an awful lot of hand sewing around the joints to patch up all the holes, but there's a lot of love in there too, and I kinda like it all the same! I hope Angus likes it...
... then, as I was putting the finishing touches on my giraffe, a package arrived in the mail! From Fern's Auntie Lou, a gorgeous little onesie from
Peter Alexander. I looove PA stuff, but since having Fern I admit my designer jammie days are on hold! so I get to live my fantasies through my daughter. Here she is, modelling her new outfit!
