Friday Finds - Lilac and Aqua Easter Decorations

Easter Decorations

Since Monday's post I have been thinking about Easter and looking around for Easter decorations to buy and make. Here are some of my favourites from the whimsical bird cage ribbon(1) and glittered bird and blooms stickers(10) which would add extra charm to your Easter gifts and treats. To the chunky oak bunny ear egg cup(2) which are beautifully styled against a polka dot tablecloth and lilac gingham napkin. Then there's the sweet pastel coloured love bird tea cups(4&5) which would be perfect for Easter tea and cakes.

For chic hanging decorations I am loving the Easter hanging bunny(6) and polka dot wooden eggs(9). For a touch of sparkle it's got to be themini chocolate eggs(3) to fill jars, nests and baskets with, and for home decor the mini foil bunny in lilac(7). My favourite has to be the quirky wooden cockerel(8)!

Have a sweet day!

52 Weeks of Grateful: Platitudes

I've had about 127 people tell me 'when one door closes, another opens' these past few weeks. They are probably right - tried and tested statements we tell each other are usually right, don't you think?

Plenty of other fish in the sea.

Everything happens for a reason.

You can only do what you can do.

Platitudes are so believable, so comforting.

So, this week I'm grateful for...

215. Platitudes - They are the words we use when we don't know the right words to use. They are the words we use when we care enough to use them.

216. Music - songs have been chasing me all week. 'Last Day on Earth' Kate Miller-Heidke (because I have a tendency towards melodrama); 'Gotta Keep Your Head Up' Andy Grammar (on the radio on Monday morning, unshakeable); 'Cold Hard Bitch' Jet (great song, makes me feel invincible); and, the usual, 'Big Red Car' The Wiggles (it's been chasing me since 2005).

217. Memories- At the end of the end, there are so many good memories of so many good times that I had in my corporate career. Nostalgia has already kicked in, but, don't worry, her friend Regret is no where to be seen.

Come visit me at Kidspot where I've revealed my (riveting) earliest memory. I love childhood memories... share yours in the comments if you're a member (if you're not, join up so we can hang!)

Join our Grateful community by adding your post to the list below (please add a link back to our list here or at Kidspot). Visit some of the other lovely link-ups - it's a beautiful way to spend a little time. Oh, and it would be lovely if everyone visited a few of the 'late arrivals'  to the list this week... it's sad to be late and not get any love, don't you think?
