Baby Boy

I am off out for dinner tonight with the lovely girls from my mothers group. Our dinner was scheduled to happen 5 weeks ago to celebrate the impending arrival of another little addition to the group - like all good plans, the dinner needed to be postponed as the new addition made a surprise arrival on the day of the said dinner! Mum and bub are doing great so tonight we can toast to baby Joshua. Joshua has now put the boys in the lead - between the six of us mums we have 6 girls and 7 boys.

If you follow my little blog you will know I love making special parcels look lovely and attaching pretty cards that I make myself - here is the little creation I have made for baby Joshua.

Inside the special parcel is a beautiful print by Janette from My Sweet Prints - her personalised alphabet print - J is for Joshua - such a great gift.

I am really looking forward to a nice relaxing night out with the girls before a big weekend which involves Sofia's 5th birthday party. Mr A has been in Europe for work all week so we can't wait to welcome him home so we can have a lovely celebration for our little princess (and put him to work with fifteen 5 year olds!).

The Country Living Spring Fair

Having taken a few days off work I was delighted to wake up yesterday to the sun beaming through my windows. Spring had sprung!

I headed off to The Country Living Spring Fair with my Easter sketch book in hand. What a delight it was to see the Country Living Magazine come to life at such an inspring event. I saw so many beautiful treasures, met some wonderful people and was introduced to some cute new brands and retailers. I have started to upload my many photos from the event on Flickr: The Country Living Spring Fair 2011.

I couldn't resist buying a few of the gorgeous vintage bunnies and a twiggy wall hanging from Acorn & Will.

I had an interesting chat with the adorable Katherina of Ella's Kitchen Company, whose food storage cabinet has been on my wish list forever!

I also met the lovely ladies behind the hippest new brand of bikes, Beg Bikes, whose leather accessories and ice cream pastel coloured vintage looking bikes are the talk of the blogosphere!

I got to taste new flavours of home made fudge from my favourite fudge purveyor, Roly's fudge as well as having a long, leisurely lunch in the sunshine with my dearest friend, Holly, of uber-fabulous fashion blog Holly Springett.

With the sun still shining today, I am dashing off to visit a farm with my adorable niece, Molly, and cute nephew, Samuel.

I am so lucky to have made some amazing friendships through this crazy beautiful online world! It's amazing how close you can feel to someone who you have never met! When cleaning out my email today I came across a very special email from a very special friend! It was just a simple email concerned about my absence from my blog! It was short and sweet but melted my heart the minute I read it! Unfortunately it was sent straight to my 'junk' folder and I did not get to read it until now but HAYLEY thank you so much for your beautiful email! It made me smile! I will email you back straight away :-)

♥ Loving Shoes of Prey

I think we've established that I'm all about the ideas rather than the actual skills / drive to pull them off... I dream about dresses that will never be designed, businesses that will never trade and (apparently) coffee tables that don't exist (EIGHT years!).

Shoes of Prey is a mad name for a really cool concept. You draw and design the perfect shoes and they make them. Yay!

Wouldn't it be fabulous if other industries did the same? Do you know of any?
