Photography Challenge - Week 3

Lots of great topics this week in the White Peach 30 Day Photography Challenge - it is so great to have an excuse to pick up my camera every day and take some fun photo's.  So here we go with this weeks pics and a few explanations about where they were taken.

Sunrise from our bedroom balcony created the perfect silouhette for the pine tree that sits in our backyard.

Day 16's picture was taken from the same bedroom balcony looking at the Sydney city late night skyline which we can glimpse in the distance!

Hmm - technology - need I say more!

 My Favourite Shoes from Jigsaw

A lovely orange marigold on our walk around the area last weekend.
Backyard berries with the sun shining on them created some pretty bokeh in the background! (Loved this challenge and ended with lots of photos this day!)

Me in the kitchen splashback, using my iphone and instagram - look there is that pine tree again in the background!

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks photos - just one week left in the challenge.  If you would like to find out more drop in on the White Peach Photography Blog here.

Girl's Personalised OWL Onesies... and some Nursery Wall Art

Hello to you! Today I am working busily on some orders (or rather, procrastinating about working on orders, can't you tell!) -- mostly for my personalised owl onesies, which have become rather a hit! Halfway through creating of my girl's options, I realised I havn't even shared this one with you! I'm rather proud of the design, so I thought I'd show you what I came up with!

I first created the gender neutral/ boys option which I shared with you here. That one has been really popular, and in fact I am redesigning the fabrics as we speak as I have sold out of the one with that particular print around the eyes!

But then I started getting some enquiries about designing a special one, just for girls. Well, why not? So I came up with this one:

Girl's Personalised Owl Onesie $24 available here

She has a little ribbon hair-bow...

And she can be customised with an initial or number!

I also made a matching headband:

Owl Pinwheel Flower Headband $8 available here

Actually, I've actually almost sold out of this fabric already so I'm going to have to come up with another design -- not to worry, I'm off to the Craft and Stitches show tomorrow where I'm bound to unearth some divine fabrics and embellishments!

I also couldn't stop myself from making a nursery wall hanging to match! This one is on a large 6" bamboo hoop with vintage linen and layers of appliqued fabric with embroidering, a hair ribbon AND a real piece of Australian Gum Tree for the branch!

Nursery Owl Wall Hanging $30 available here

I hope you like! Is anybody else out there off to the Stitches show in Sydney over the weekend? I am very excited, I desperately need new fabric and can't wait to be inspired by new ideas and trends!

Now, must get back to finishing sewing or will not be going anywhere tomorrow!

27 Weeks

littlelove

This photo was actually 26 weeks, 4 days. I have been pretty busy and haven't taken an official 27 week photo yet. We had a an eventful weekend celebrating our anniversary and fathers day. We're also packing up to go to the beach on Saturday for a week! I'm so excited to put my toes in the sand, go swimming, and eat lots of yummy food!
Helllooo summer!

I'm editing a bunch of photos from the weekend and from a photo shoot of a little girl who is turning one! They're almost finished so I'll be back soon to share! Plus, I have a new sonogram photo of our little girl!

Meanwhile, could you please take a quick second and vote for my photo over at Live Every Moment? I am thrilled it made top 3! Thanks!!

Ms Nosybella: What's for lunch?

Dear Eaters of the Blogiverse

Lately I'm fascinated by how fascinated I am with what people are eating for lunch. A couple of blogs I love have asked the question and it's fascinating, I tell you. Fas.in.ATE.ing.

What do people eat for lunch? That meal in the middle of the day where you're generally on your own and you're not too bothered.

LOML packs me my lunch these days (if that freaks you out a bit, you'd better read here). Today I'm having a chicken and rocket grainy-bread sandwich with low-fat mayo and a salad with an Asian dressing. See, it's fascinating... isn't it?

Well... I do want to know, so tell me:  What's your favourite lunch?

Oh, and while I'm at it, do reveal whether you have ever cut out your children's sandwiches with a biscuit cutter... I really do need to know the stats on that one! Susan Yuen, one of those amazingly creative and dedicated mothers that I have nothing but praise and hot pokers for, makes amazing bento boxes for her kids' lunches - see image above. I predict that the kids' bento box is the next trend in Australia... you read it here first. Much like those bloody cake pops...

'Til next time,

Laundry Art

My Laundry Art
My Laundry Art

I am busily getting everything ready to decorate our new laundry- and cloak-room. Last week I showed you the candy coloured bead hangers and the pretty wrapped soaps. Today I am showing you some of my laundry art I want to put up on the walls.

I originally bought two pink baroque picture frames from Urban Outfitters; buy one get one half price! I then had to decide what to put in them. As there is going to be quite a lot of different prints in the room from, pale blue floral towels to a bird print curtain and rose printed dusters I wanted something quite graphical.

I liked the idea of them having something to do with the laundry room so went for care label meanings. I went back to Urban Outfitters and bought two more frames, one in pink and one in duck egg blue as I'd decided I wanted three of them (maybe the extra one can go in my kitchen?). I coloured the artwork in a pale blue to match the blue in my towels, soaps and prints.

Feel free to right click the below pics and print them out for yourselves.
