A little wish: a little follow-up



My little wish for commenting was really quite a big wish and it came true. So many blogs seem to have changed their comments to pop-up and it's just so much easier to leave a note. I notice this particularly when I'm doing the Grateful rounds. It's fab.

Many of the commenters (and Jane in particular!) mentioned that while we were at it we really ought to get rid of word verification.

So I did.

I've hardly had any spam and 99% of it has been caught by the 'Spam' box. The other 1% has been caught by my 'approval if post older than 3 days' setting. I have always had that setting because I would hate to miss a comment!

So, I highly recommend turning off the word verification and seeing how you go.

Of course, I will miss my strange moments in word verification, but I think I'll live...

Wonderful Weekend

A quick peak into our weekend - the first one for a while without any event (friends birthday parties that I am just dropping off at do not count!!).  No time to sit down with singing and dancing lessons, swimming lessons and two birthday parties to attend but we also did a few things we haven't done for a while - friends for a sleepover and a trip to the local weekend fresh produce market!

I take that back - Indi had time to sit down and what else does a baby play with whilst sitting down!!  I wonder what I was doing at 20 months old - certainly didn't know how to use one of these.

Week-a-Boo

Here we are...Sunday again.
I have a happy face, happy body and happy heart...

Here's why...

 ~ My weekend started off here! A one hour full body massage, a manicure, a pedicure and then an hour facial! Heaven! I laid down on that couch and didn't move for 3 hours! It was total bliss! ~ 


~ Rob was working all day so I had a day to myself! I stopped off at the organic supermarket and picked up a few supplies! I am now in love with this shop! Will be goign back each week! ~


~ I spent the afternoon at mum and dads hanging out and laughing and getting my Roxy cuddles ~


~ Saturday night Rob and I went out to dinner at our favourite Chinese restaurant! Nothing I love more than greasy Chinese with my love and reading our fortunes after ~


~ Sunday Rob had to work again so I decided to go with him so we could spend a day together! Rob works 6 or 7 days every week so when he works down the coast I try to go as often as I can just so we can spend that little extra time together! Even though he was working being close was better than being home! And hey...it's not a bad work place :) I read, relaxed and took photos while Rob worked...guilty!!! ~ 



~ I walked to get lunch and stubbled across my favourite shop! I have never gone in but have always admired it from the front!  Its a cute little beach shop with furniture and knick knacks! OMG it was divine! It was just gorgeous and the items inside were just beautiful! Gorgeous little treasures that the owner has found or bought and restored himself! I picked a few little treasures of my own! ~


~ All I need is love and the beach side! My world complete! ~


 ~ Sunday nights are always spent at my mum and dads for family dinner! My sisters best friend has just spent a month in America and tonight was his first night back seeing us! He bought us presents (bless his heart) and he knows that I LOVE Las Vegas and I am desperate to go so he bought a little piece to me! Monopoly Las Vegas style! Best excuse for a game night! He's so thoughtful! ~

I Want... I Need... A TULLE Dress!

Hello, dear reader! I had the most unexciting weekend in the history of the universe... husband is working all weekend for the short-term so I was at home with 2 small children baking anzac biscuits, doing a zillion loads of washing, tripping over Duplo blocks and freezing little icecube trays full of pumpkin puree. Fun stuff.

In my spare time ;) I found myself typing "tulle party dress" into the search box on Etsy. Not sure why. And I found some of the most dreamy, delicious and darn cheap dresses I've seen for a long time. I was about to hand over my credit card... when I noticed the feedback rating. It wasn't the best, and many of the comments from previous buyers were even more dubious. Which is a big shame, because check out these little beauties:






I've decided not to buy one of these dresses... sigh... but I am inspired to make a tulle dress for Fern! We are going to a Christening in a few weeks time and I'm challenging myself to whip something up made of tulle and bits of antiquey looking lace and doilys with a matching headpiece which sounds hideous but I am hoping will look amazing! hmm. I'll keep you posted on that one.
