Fab New App...

Have you seen the new Woolworths iphone app? Its quite clever and I'm mighty impressed - iphone apps dont usually excite me much. The truth is Louise has more of her game apps on there than I have. But I am really loving this one - It has the easiest recipes on it, and a shopping list option that will tell you which isle your food is in at your local woollys. It has all the weekly specials listed and you can scan your items at home so you dont even have to type them in.

This is the Apple & Cinnamon tea cake - I was hoping to have more of the actual cake in the photo but it seemed to disappear before I could. I might have better luck with the Choc hazelnut oat biscuits.

Hope your having a nice weekend!

*This was not a sponsored post - I just really like the App!

Playing along with Monica

This week, I reconnected with a friend I hadn't seen for ten years. We went through school and university together, drifted apart geographically and then in other ways. With only two hours to catch up, it was surprisingly easy to pick up where we'd left off and an opportunity to realise the value in staying in touch.

Maternity Pictures

Finally. At 36 and a half weeks preggo we were able to find a bit of time for pictures! My sisters took a few snapshots of us and I'm happy with how they turned out. Originally I wanted to have them professionally done...but that just never happened! So here they are! Our maternity photos!

This week was crazy here in Maryland. First an earthquake and now we're all battening down the hatches waiting for Hurricane Irene! Fingers crossed that nothing damaging/serious happens...and I don't go into labor...just yet!

This week I'm grateful for... play dates

Unsurprisingly, a couple of people unfollowed me after yesterday's post. I'm not supposed to know that, am I? I'm not even supposed to care, right? Okay... moving right along...

This week I'm grateful for...

169. Play dates - I do love shuffling mine off to someone else, but I especially love having the players at our place. The privilege of watching what my Tsunamis get up to with their friends is one I relish. So, yes, I am a Spy Mum (but apparently not very good at it according to Cappers who caught me lurking!)

170. Takeaways - We like a trip to Maccas as a treat (mandatory when we are on the road to Gran and Pops, apparently) and LOML and I enjoy a home delivery from a favourite restaurant most weeks, but that's pretty much it for us and takeaways. But tonight we're off to a mate's place for takeaway pizza and it's just such an easy, welcoming way to entertain that I can only say 'more please!'.

171. Childhood - for the reasons above and all the rest of the reasons that make my heart swell. Watching our children find their place in the world is magic. I recall being considerably less concerned about my own childhood than I am about my children's... there's something in that...

So, what's making you smile today? Add your Grateful post to the list below (and please, we love you, but it really does matter that your post is one about being grateful, not just a random), add the button (grab the code from my sidebar and paste it into your post) and pretty-please add a link back to the list. Then pop over to visit other bloggers who are spreading a little sunshine.
