The Last Minute Gift

Ok so it is only 5 sleeps until Christmas - I know it is getting tight for deliveries but if you are in a central location it may still be doable if you get your orders in quick (like today!).  If however you just can't work out what to order I do have the perfect last minute gift for you - the Sweet Style Gift Voucher - simple and easy and arrives in your inbox (or your partners inbox) within a few hours of you placing your order.
Have a look here to purchase one.

The great news about this is that Christmas gets extended so you can then go shopping from the comfort of your home on Boxing day - what could be better!  So what to buy - well it has been a while since I have given a new product update here on the blog (of course if you follow along on Facebook you know what is happening on a daily basis) so here are three of my faves that have arrived in the shop recently.

First up the stunning new drinks dispensers - she comes in two styles.  This is the plain version with a glass lid and base.  There is also a lovely cut glass version which has a silver lid and base - check the website here for more details

Elegant new white cake stands have also arrived in the past week.
You can see them here

The Large and Small Sabine Glass Jars are currently my favourite of the many candy jars I stock - they looks so pretty on any dessert or candy table and also make a beautiful gift when presented full of yummy treats.
Find them here
And some great prop ideas for your next party include this great range of blackboard items
You can find them here

So there are a few quick ideas for your Christmas Stocking.
Don't forget that New Year's is also just around the corner so make sure you have everything you need now to avoid the last minute rush next week.

Hope your Christmas week is running smoothly.

Needle felted acorns

Needle felted acorns

Last year I collected lots of acorn cups and never got around to doing anything with them. So this year I decided to make needle felted acorns with them, which I have hung on my Christmas tree and used them in my Christmas displays. I used the same colours as my needle felted roses.

Needle felted acorns, How-to step by step
Needle felted acorns steps 1-4
Start by lightly washing your acorn cups in soapy water and leaving to dry. Liberally coat them with PVA glue and immediately sprinkle on glitter and leave to dry. Gather a small ball of roving together and start to needle punch it, turning and twisting it as you punch so you keep it in a small ball.

Roll the felted ball in your hands to get the shape you want and continue needle punching the roving till you have a small, tight, felted acorn shape. Using a hot glue gun, place a small amount of glue on the inside of the acorn cup and push felted ball into the glue. Fold your ribbon strips in half and, using the hot glue gun, add a dab of glue to the top of the acorn cup. Push ends of ribbon strip into glue before it dries.
