I think I need a skirt intervention

My daughter's skirt collection has a mind of its own and is growing by the day.
Here are some of the more recent additions...

& here's a few I have my eye on...

SEE - I told you I need an intervention!!

It's called a deadline, people. Dead. Line.

I'm tired. Dead tired. I'm tired because the Tsunamis won't sleep. And I'm especially tired because people are really bloody annoying.

I work for a large corporate in a glamourous advertising role (yeah, right). There are lots of projects so that means there are lots of timelines which means there are lots and lots and lots of deadlines. I'm cool with that. Aside from being a flaky, wishy-washy creative type, I'm rather efficient and organised and I thrive on structure.

I seem to be the only one.

I can't tell you how much of my day I waste chasing people.  They're all business as we set up a job, promising the world. But then, do they do what they say they'll do when they say they'll do it? Absolutely not.

I understand procrastination, I really do. On the home front, LOML and I have been getting around to selling our car for 2.2 years, buying a flatscreen for 1.5 years and baptising our third born into the (parental, Italian Catholic) faith for 2. The towel rack in the bathroom fell down 2 years ago and I've been meaning to buy an extension cord for the vacuum cleaner for about 5 years (we have moved house in the meantime).

So, I get the procrastination thing.

But not at work. Surely not there. Not when they're paying you and not when there are so many more interesting things we could all be doing if we just get the job done and go home. Oh wait, that's me. I forgot I work for a large corporate where working into the night is a lifestyle choice for some. Because if I'm really efficient I might get my work done on time and then what would I do? Go home to my family and friends? My colleagues are my friends.

Like, I said, people are really bloody annoying.

Postcards from the coast

during our time away along the Great Ocean road we went to lots of 'look out' spots & this was my favourite. Taken from Teddy's look out in Lorne.

Really Linda Barker is a gorgeous online store from Interiors & Product Designer Linda Barker. Linda was born in Yorkshire, England, and trained as a fine artist at West Surrey College of Art and Design. She is also well known as a television presenter, from such shows as Changing Rooms and House Invaders.

The online catalogue is full of a beautiful range of interior pieces, all of which have a calming neutral look to them. I especially love her metal food stand from the "Villa Verne" range, named after her exquisite holiday home situated in a wooded valley just outside the glamorous resort of St Tropez in the South of France.

Have a sweet day!

Well, we certainly got carried away...

So... some lovely friends, my mum and I held a little Sex and the City 2 shindig Tuesday night to raise some money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We managed to fill 2 Gold Class Cinemas with lovely, lovely ladies. There were Cosmos, Goody Bags, a pretty big raffle and lots of laughs - not to mention raising $2000. How ace is that!?!

I loved the movie (except the part where I had to step out to calm my Miss L down over the phone) I had a great time and Thank you my lovely friends that joined us and everyone who purchased tickets in the raffle.

Now, I must give some LOVE these wonderful businesses who graciously donated items for the raffle - Without even a second thought these lovely ladies wrapped their beautiful items and sent them straight away. Thank you!

And to Jodie, Keren and Rochelle from my very special Mother's Group - Thank you for also orgainsing such wonderful prizes, I'm simply amazed at the generosity.

Wordless {Sparkle} Wednesday

Hope your day was full of sparkle.
