Infinite possibilities

A question was recently put to me that got me thinking....

What do you wish you had an infinite amount of?

A few thing sprung quickly to mind...
Time

Money

Patience

Red Rock Honey and Soy Chips

(hey.. I'm preggers remember)
An endless download limit

But ultimately if I really thought about it ~ without getting too soppy ~ It would have to be....

 Sunshine!

Why?

There is just something magical about the sun that gets our family in the mood for fun

We love being out on a warm day, doing things together

Riding our bikes, walking the dog, running to the park

being together, living together

.

Its what makes our little family truly happy.

and if happiness can make you feel like the richest person alive, then do I really need anything from the first list anyway?

What do you wish you had an infinite amount of?

The dud post

Yesterday's post on The Badoo was, well, a bit of a dud. I'm not sure why it didn't resonate - maybe it came across as a bit boasty? Maybe people were appalled at the sight of an entire Badoo with her pants down?  Maybe potty training just ain't all that interesting?

Whatever the reason... crickets.

It got me thinking how fascinating it is that we move en masse towards some things and away from others. It's the reason why fads are created, why celebrities come and go and why last season's 'must have' item is suddenly 50c at your local Vinnies.  It's compelling that something grabs us all one minute and not the next but it's even more compelling that it seems to happen to a vast majority of us at exactly the same time.

Our society is made up of millions of unique, creative, clever and discerning people and yet... we all do much the same thing at much the same time and we like much the same thing at about the same time too. As much as I like to think of myself as an 'individual' who is defiantly 'not on trend', I've come to realise that my own pattern of likes and dislikes pretty much follows the masses... with an edge (I tell myself. I please just let me have an edge!).

Is it important to you to be 'individual' or are you happy being one of the crowd? How closely does your way of living follow what's 'on trend' (even if you don't mean it to!)?

I have started my Christmas lists
the cards are at the printers
handmade goodness is hanging around the house
(I was inspired to make garland this year & will show you some photos soon)
wrapping paper & handmade clay tags are waiting

I am hoping to enjoy this time of the year
without getting overwhelmed
& by taking small steps
I will get it all done
day by day
hopefully with less stress
& lots of joy!

fairy tale lullaby

I will take you through the magic dancing wood
And I will take you where the goblins are all good.
I will take you where the elfs and pixies do sing
And I will take you round the magic fairy ring.

Looking In

While letting Roxy out last night I looked back and realized how beautiful our tree looks from the outside. Possibly even more beautiful than it looks on the inside. It's warmth and coziness shines through the glass and makes our home even more inviting. So I put Roxy in and grabbed my camera. I love this view.

I used Pioneer Woman's Heartland action for this photo, I love the old time feel it gives it.

P.S. I will be posting the recipe for the peanut butter pie I made since I got a few comments of people who said they would like to try it. It could be a nice dish to bring to a Christmas function! So stay tuned :)

Advent Calendar by Torie Jayne
Today is the first of December and today the excitement of Christmas begins with the opening of the first door in the advent calendar.

Advent calendars originate from 19th century Germany, where they physically counted the days down by drawing a chalk line on the door, or more elaborate means such as lighting candles.
