5th wedding anniversary
I can't believe it has been 5 years to the day since I walked down an aisle of grape vines, in the gorgeous Hunter Valley vineyards, to marry my best friend. Aside from the birth of my daughter, it was truly the most magical day of my life!
Sure, he knows nothing about music, can't be trusted to dress himself, loses everything he owns, is surgically attached to his mobile, and allows the Lab to drip his fur all over the passenger seat of the car...
... but after 5 years, here are 5 endearing things I continue to find charming about him:
1. He loves his work and has never once chucked a 'sickie'
2. He 'tucks' his beloved Labrador into his kennel at night
3. He remembers (mostly) to ask for skim milk when ordering my coffee
4. He has no particular aversion to the colour pink
5. He sneaks into the nursery when he knows he's not allowed, just to watch our daughter sleeping.
It's certainly a bumpy ride... but I'm hanging on! Happy anniversary, Nielsty.
Warm and Fuzzies
I have spent the past couple of days going back to The Toy Society blog to read more and more lovely stories - and each one gives you that special feeling that there is still so much good in the world. What an amazing idea and yet so simple. You make a cuddly toy, register, set up your little package then leave it in place so that someone can find it. All drops are documented and hopefully the finder will log on and show you that your friend has found a home. What first started in little old Oz has now taken off all over the world - Truly amazing. OH I wish I could sew properly enough to make a lovie. This will now be my new goal - I want to do this at least once! Thanks to Chunky Chooky for blogging about it - this is her Monty. I hope he finds a lovely home.
Forgot to mention I have also listed a heap of new things in my store - perhaps for Christmas...
Some Belated Thank yous!
Oh my darling blog I have neglected you - although, things seemed to have really slowed down on my google reader so everyone must be a little extra busy this side of Christmas.
For me, it has been a busy week with one grumpy, ill little munchkin, but also my baby brother had his 21st and we seemed to have one function after another, I also have been working on some exciting new projects and practicing my sewing skills as well - so looking forward to a much slower weekend this week.
I have a few thank yous that I have been meaning to blog about. Last week I got a message from Tricia from Flannel Fings letting me know that I had won one of her awesome demin recycled bibs so I picked this one but in pink
and while I was there I picked out this kerchief for Lou - which she loves too - but its so hard to get a photo of her though. So this one has to do...

Tricia also has a fab blog called Little Eco Footprints - she concentrates her posts on her "family's journey towards living a more sustainable life and decreasing her ecological footprint", she also gives great tips and ideas on how we can do the same. Its definitely one of the blogs posts I look forward to reading. So thanks for blogging Tricia and thanks for my Lou's cool bib.
A big Thanks also to Tania from Chicken Ink. Creative once again who did all the hard work at the Annual Paynesville Craft Market last weekend and is off to another for us this Sunday. Thank you so much for sitting in the cold - Much appreciated. Just got a delivery of her beautiful fabric covered notebooks for someone close to me, that are going to some special friends of hers for Christmas.
