Positive Intent - 11.11.11

Today is a very special day! The date 11.11.11 is one of the most powerful shifts in human awareness that we will ever get to experience in our lifetime. It is a unique opportunity for all of us to release our karmic scripting. It is the day to forget the past and re-write our future. We can choose. We can decide. Today is the first day of the rest of our lives. 

Although every day I try to live my life with happiness and positive thinking I think it is always good to sit down and reassess your inner self. I'm in the process of creating a vision board however most of these things are materialistic. I think we need to look inside ourselves and look deep into our hearts and our souls and really connect with who we are. Today I ask all of you to take a minute at 11:11am and search your soul. Who are you? What are you doing? Why are you doing it? Are you being the real you or the you who you 'think' you should be? There should be no more pretending. 

Make a wish inside your heart and hold on to it forever. Today is the start. This is my positive intention...

"I will share with my family, my friends and my world, the love, passion and magic that is inside my heart. I will be silly, I will be positive, I will be fun, I will happy, I will shine! I WILL BE ME"

Polka dot print deer

I love having lots of deer decor around my home at Christmas so this year I bought some wooden deer figures which I painted white then added some pretty polka dots using my favourite craft crush, Japanese washi masking tape. Now they are perfect for my Winter Wonderland colour palette and theme. Hmmm, what else can I do with my washi tape collection?

Polka dot wooden deer steps 1-4
Start by painting entire deer white and leave it to dry. Carefully paint the sides of the wooden deer in pink paint using a small paint brush and leave to dry. Then cover the front of the deer in strips of polka dot washi masking tape, making sure you line the pattern up.

Using a craft knife, carefully trim around the edges of the deer to remove excess tape. Turn deer over and, as before, cover back with printed washi tape and trim. Coat front and back in PVA glue to give it a protective coating and leave to dry. Brush PVA glue onto pink-painted sides of deer (except bottom so it stands flat) and immediately sprinkle with pink glitter before the glue starts to dry. Tap deer lightly to remove excess glitter and leave to dry.

i've started

my Christmas shopping already {which is extra early for me. i love the hype of crazy busy shopping closer to the big day}

after we went here while on holidays a few months ago we fell in love with the delicious waffles & so did our girls......so this is something we thought they would love & hopefully waffle making will become a family favourite event for years to come.
