Happy Australia Day

I love this time of the year - long warm summer days and a bonus public holiday mid week to celebrate Australia Day.

Sienna created a lovely welcome sign for our front door, we put the flags out and then we spent the day in the backyard with family - a great Aussie bbq followed by a relaxing swim in the pool.

"Go for a walk?!"

It's been forever since I asked Rox, "Wanna go for a walk?!"  It's just been TOO cold.  I got home from work early today and it was much warmer outside then it has been for awhile. So I decided it was a good idea. Besides, I needed to clear my head anyway.

Of course .2 seconds after I asked Roxy her favorite question she was sitting next to the entryway dresser where her leash resides.  So off we went.

Walking is like therapy. There's nothing better than letting go of all that stress and getting fresh air.

And today I needed it.


Roxy is the perfect companion to bring along. Although there are times where I'm tugging the leash :)

I began wishing it were Spring already, oh how I miss our walks.

But then again, I'd rather not wish my life away.

I have featured Rice DK many times here on Torie Jayne so I was delighted to visit their stand at Top Drawer. They were showing their new The Peace, Kiss and Glamourama Spring/Summer Collection. It was full of bright poppy colours, fun florals, toadstools, gnomes and peacocks. I also saw intricate, brightly coloured bird candle holders, kitchen towel holders and hooks. I loved the quirky crochet flowered cushions and funky jewel coloured melamine accessories for the kitchen.

 He loves to take photographs of his daddy, my big belly, birds, dinosaurs and himself {standing in front of the mirror} 
Towards the end of last week i felt the fuzziness lift and even got my motivation back for taking pictures...the second trimester is going to be full of sun filled moments with my beautiful boy
 he keeps telling me 
"I'm not your baby any more Mummy...i am a big boy"
