Decorating for my Easter Table 2011
As my regular blog readers know, I love decorating for the holidays. Easter is no exception, in fact I think it is my favourite holiday to decorate for. What's not to love: the pretty pastel colours, the abundance of chocolate and the cute bunnies and birds.
My favourite part is decorating my Easter table and filling it with lots of handmade goodies like last year's handmade honeycomb filled chocolate bunnies or the spun toffee nests from the year before.

This Easter I wanted to create a new theme and colour palette so, after much searching and deliberation, I decided to go for a butterfly and bird theme based on my bird trail fabric from Clarke and Clarke, as shown in my Easter Mood Boards post. This week I will be sharing with you the handmade crafts I have made for this year's Easter table.
Next week I will be stepping into my kitchen and making an abundance of sweet treats to sit on my Easter table and fill my Easter hunt basket with. So stay tuned for all things Easter!

Super Mum Syndrome
LOML is away for the week, so of course I’ve morphed into Super Mum and can’t sleep a wink.
Do you do this?
The minute I’m parenting on my own, I’m super-vigilant, super-responsible, super-patient, super-tidy and super-organised. It’s exhausting, but I can’t help it. If it wasn’t for the fact that I couldn’t possibly sustain this uber-parenting style for longer than, oh, a week, I would definitely believe that kids are better off with only one parent.
I think I cruise a little bit when there is the two of us. “Oh,” I think. “What’s it matter? LOML can read The Badoo That Annoying Princess Book later, so I’ll palm her off for now.” Or “LOML wrestled with the Tsunamis for hours this morning, so I’ll just smile and wave at them on the trampoline while I read my book.” Then there’s the enabling: “LOML’s doing his own thing too, and he’s not worried that it’s 20 past one and the Tsunamis are rummaging in the bins for lunch, so why should I?”
That type of thing.
There’ll be none of that now I’m on my own. I’m strong and steely and endlessly cheerful. “It’s all up to you,” I think. “You’re responsible for the happiness of these children today, tonight and for the rest of the week, their lives. So, mother-up, we’re going in.”
The Tsunamis love Super Mum. She’s endlessly patient, inventive and kind. Who cares if she’s a bit over-excited and can’t seem to stop moving? She’s just very, very cheery is all. Very cheery. And, Mum, MUM! I’m still drinking that... oh well, at least she’s not bugging us to help her clean up.

More Stamping Fun and a Winner
There are so many great uses for my little name stamps - just last week I had them out again so I could label the girls school socks baskets! No more big socks in the Sofia's basket and no more little socks in Sienna's basket - well that is the plan anyway and so far so good!
Some of you may also remember last year I used the stamp on Sofia's party bags - cute and simple!

17 Week Bumpdate
How far along: 17 weeks! picture technically taken at 16 weeks, 6 days :)
Baby: Is the size of an onion
Total Weight Gained: scale says I've put on 2lbs this week! look out!
Sleep: Better now that I only get up twice a night to use the restroom! And I have figured out how to sleep well, without being on my back! I'm wedged between a pillow and small blanket and when I'm tired of laying on my side I roll to a half-back sleep position, caught by one of my wedges (So I'm not lying flat back). Okay that probably makes no sense... but it's so comfortable!
Maternity Clothes: belly bands and a pair of jeans from Old Navy
Best Moment of the Week: hmm can't think of anything, but just feeling better overall!
Food Cravings/Aversions: Appetite is growing! I eat more and I'm loving more. I'm not as picky!

Symptoms: Round ligament pain! It's started. Mostly when I get up from sitting/laying, or when I twist/turn. I'm not complaining though, it just means the belly is growing to make room for baby :)
Movement: Daily. And they're not just tiny flutters anymore, most are what I like to call thumps. They aren't big by any means of course, baby is still tiny, but they're tougher than the little flicks I had been feeling!
Gender: We can't wait to find out...16 days!
What I miss: nothing!
What I'm looking forward to: Finding out boy or girl!

Milestones: On baby: fat is accumulating and skeleton is hardening!
