Winter Bird

Winter Birds by Torie Jayne
I have started thinking about Christmas: early, I know. This year I want to freshen it up by adding aqua, teal, pink and lots of birds to last year's Winter Woodland theme. Oh, and maybe a snowy bird cage Christmas cake with holly leaves atop?!

Postie delivery: Living confidently ever after

Confidence, huh? Just talking about it makes one sound rather arrogant and a touch up one's own arse. But I'm going there.

Never one to shy away, so to speak.

So, I'm over at Good Holly Golly Gosh She's Fab's place tonight, enjoying my new career as a guest postie and (very confidentally) talking about confidence. Come join in!

What do you think the secret to confidence really is?
Why are some of us brimming in the stuff and others so unsure?

it seems

 that when you
 are young & free
 the most favourite
 place to be
 is at the play ground
& my girls would spend all day everyday at a park if they could!

Daisy chains on a Sunday morning...

So, it's Sunday morning. Real early. I'm up on top of a mountain with my 2.5 year old daughter - perched by the roadside, sitting on the grass waiting. Daddy is racing his bicycle. He won't be back around for another hour. And, aside from a bottle o water and a packet of Tiny teddys I've brought no entertainment. Hmm that should fill in five minutes... What to do?

But thank goodness nature provides it's own sources of creative entertainment and on this occasion it didn't let me down.Daisy chains, folks. An oldy but a goody.Never loses it's charm, does it?

39 Weeks

Baby is ready, Momma is ready!

I had a growth ultrasound last Friday at 38 weeks, 4 days. Addison looked absolutely perfect. Tech said she is ready and everything looks great. She was estimated 7.1lbs! Not as little as people may have expected due to my belly size! She has chunky cheeks and chunky thighs (we actually saw fat rolls!) Gosh, I love seeing her little face. And now that I know she is ready, I am so ready. I'm really starting to feel the effects of being nine months pregnant. Tired exhausted & achy all over. And I just really can't wait to meet my little girl!!

Recently I decided to go a little wild with preggo self pics. I'm way to lazy and tired to take pictures with my camera. So here's a photo dump off my terrible droid (soon to be replaced with an iphone!).

I think my face says "I'm done!" in this one ;)

Ya, I feel a little vain for taking all these pictures of myself, but I guess it's just because I know I won't be preggo much longer. I really want to remember how I looked at the end!

Oh and here is her nursery!

I decided to wait on wall decor until after she is born so I can hang photos of her (specifically a canvas above the dresser!)

7 days until my due date! Thursday is my last appointment (and my birthday!) Hoping for some progress!

My Little Jedi Online Magazine Launch

A very big congratulations to Vesna from My Little Jedi on the launch of her new online magazine today.  The magazine is truly gorgeous and I am proud to have contributed an article to the issue (pages 13-15).  If you haven't already seen it here it is below.  I will post some more of my photos later in the week.
