Spring is Just Around the Corner

For all of us that live in Australia, Spring is just around the corner. Blue sky days, gentle breezes, flowers blooming, gentle Spring showers, warm sunshine on your back as you work in the garden.

Spring a time of rebirth, of new beginnings - if you have had a winter of discontent - my wish for you is that you will embrace the Spring change - that the universe will bring you contentment and good fortune.

Here are some Spring quotes to inspire us all:

An optimist is the human personification of Spring - Susan J Bissonette

Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!" - Robin Williams

In Spring time, loved is carried on the breeze. Watch out for flying passion or kisses whizzing by your head - Emma Racine deFleur & my addition - why not catch a few as they whizz past!!

May this Spring bring you all of the good things that life can bring - embrace all that life offers you for you never know what may bloom - Karen Shaddock

Simone of The Bottom of the Ironing Basket recently asked me where the floral wallpaper in Elin's room from my Craft & Creativity post is from. Well, it is from the adorable Pip Studio. I love their motto: "Happy Products for Happy People".

Pip Studio is a Dutch design company based in Amsterdam selling bed & bath collections, stationery, cushions, tablecloths and of course, an extensive collection of wallpaper.

Pip's handwriting is characterized by a warm, and almost intimate, touch and feel. It is often a mix and match concept of layered designs with a keen eye for small details and special finishes, combined with a subtle colour palette.

Welcome! Here is my rooster!

I would like to thank Barb @ Bella Vista for inviting me to join this party. I immediately said yes but then realized I didn't have a rooster! I hunted around for roosters and came up blank, so I made one. The pattern has been adapted from the book Crafting Springtime Gifts, using one of my favorite prints from Cath Kidston.

On my hunt for roosters I found these lovely photos, that I wanted to share with you!

~ Weekend Reading ~

Finally I have my hands on a copy of the new Ikea Catalogue so I am off to spend my weekend scouring the pages for yummy products - I have even noticed that they are now open until 9pm every weeknight - sounds like heaven!

Hope you enjoy your weekend.

This little mood board inspired the high summer story of delicate silks, etched dragonflies, and gilded details.

Saltwater is a British clothing design label based in London and Cornwall.
They make women's clothing with a fresh, soft, vintage feel. Think pretty vintage printed skirts, hand embroidered dresses, faded print tunics and fine knits. I am loving their blue and white China bird skirt in the last pic, which has over 50% off in the sale!

New Stockist for Lulu froufrou!!

Just dropped this order off to Betty at Little Hollywood in Hughsdale - a wonderful exclusive kids hairdressing salon. Betty and her dedicated team specialise in haircuts for children in an environment that is fun and friendly - trust me I had a hard time getting Lou out of there when we visited. If your in the area (or not it would be worth the drive) and its time for the little ones haircut why pop not in and make them feel like a star :) !!

~ Doctor Doctor ~

This week has been a bit of a week for Doctors - poor little Indi has today had to have a nasal endoscopy - not much fun for an 8 week old and thankfully the lovely nurse wisked her away quickly and she was back in my arms 5 minutes later.

I feel very blessed that I have made it 5 years without any major health ordeals with my girls and today was the first time we have had to undergo any minor operations.

The Doctor confirmed that Indiana has Laryngomalacia which is basically a soft floppy larynx. This is something that she will grow out of with time and it just means she is very noisy when she breathes. I am sure a number of people have thought I had a little piglet in my pram at times. Such a relief though to have the procedure done and dusted and to know all is fine.

Now we just have to get through Friday's immunisation - poor little sausage she is not having a fun week - a great excuse for lots of cuddles.
