~ Nappy Bags ~

I am officially obsessed with nappy bags and here is my latest must have bag!!

It is a beauty isn't it - all brightly coloured for spring/summer.

Admittedly I do have a number of nappy bags but what is one more - my clothing is a little restricted to easy access tops for breast feeding so I will have to get my fashion fix with a new bag!!

I love all the shine and shimmer in her delicate work and want to inject some glamor into my living room with one of her Rose Briar silk cushions from the Aquamarine collection.

Happy 2nd Birthday!

~ Oh to be able to wiggle my nose ~

Well the boxes are out in preparation for our final move!

It is still 3 weeks until we get to move in to our new house but time is precious so better get a few things under way in the packing department.

One day I would love to be able to wiggle my nose like Samantha on Bewitched and swoosh everything was moved into its correct spot in the new house!! Ahh to dream! Actually it would really nice to be able to have a number of things done by wiggling my nose!

The Graham & Green catalogue came floating through my door last week. Oh, what a joy! The above pics are on my wish list. I know they are expensive but I convince myself each season that some things I just have to have and for others I will look for cheaper alternatives.

I found a cheaper deer head - in Marks and Spencer for £25.00.

I would like to make a version of the baroque shelves by scouting vintage stores for old frames that I could mount onto boxes on the wall. I am in two minds about the dog draught excluder as I love the one here but know making my own one will save me a few pounds.

The rest I am still contemplating!

My 'birdie' baby shower

I am presently planning my daughter's naming day (actually, Im not. Im procrastinating about planning her naming day) and it's made me think back to my lovely baby shower.

Hosted by my friend Kellie (who happens to be an event manager - v handy!) my shower had a 'birdie' theme, with accent colours of orange and hot pink. We strung pom poms (thanks Martha Stewart) from the roof with fishing twine and placed a pretty branch in a vase for guests to pin handwritten messages on little paper birds onto.

A table was set up outside for guests to decorate little singlets and onesies from vintage fabrics and laces, paint and beads. Some of these now hang on Fern's nursery cupboard doors as artworks.

I baked little shortbread cookies for the favours and put them in noodle boxes with a cute little poem on the front:

Tacky games, pink champagne, cupcakes, and a gaggle of giggling girls made for an awesome afternoon I will always remember. Thanks Kel!
